What to Know About Registration

Academic achievement is only a small part of the picture in a student’s life, and is often weighted far too heavily in school admissions offices. Los Angeles Film Academy International selects students based on indicators of their future potential, characteristics including intellectual curiosity, perseverance in the face of adversity, and creativity.

Admissions Process

Your Gateway to Learning

  1. Applicants must submit the completed application and fulfill all the requirements therein. The application fee is $95 and must be submitted with the application.

  2. You will receive response within a week via Email. At that time we may request any additional documents needed before we would schedule an interview/audition via Skype or WeChat or FaceTime.

  3. Applicant will have approximately one week to prepare a monologue of his choice. The interview audition via internet will start with casual conversation about applicant's country, his or her family or education, etc. After that initial talk, applicant will be asked to perform a monologue, might be given some adjustments and asked to do it again.

  4. The decision about conditional acceptance will be done within two weeks, at which point an acceptance or denial Email will be sent to the applicant.

  5. A downpayment of 50% of the cost of the course need to be made by student within 24 hours after the conditional acceptance. The downpayment is not refundable if student does not attend the course for whatever reasons.

  6. Depending on the future student's origin The Los Angeles Film Academy International will assist our future students with application for USA visa .

  7. Upon receipt of the visa, future student will be provided with the air-fare ticket from his or her country to Los Angeles.

  8. The remainding balance of the tuition will needed to be paid before or on the day of the arrival to Los Angeles.

Requirements

All students must:

  • Be 18+ years on the day of acceptance.

  • Provide a fully filled out and signed application with applicable fee as well as financial statement with a proof of funds for the cost of the course and $200 per day for the length of course.

  • Pay downpayment of 50% of the cost of the course within 24 hours of the conditional acceptance. The downpayment is not refundable if student does not attend the course for whatever reasons.

  • Pay the remainder of the money before or on the day of arrival to Los Angeles.

  • Have valid passport at least until 10 days after the graduation party.

  • Disclose any mental or physical illnesses or issues no later than 24 hours after acceptance. We do not discriminate against any of those, but our team must be prepared in case of any emergency.

  • Request in writing at the time when application is submitted that he/she doesn't speak or understand English.

  • Promise to follow all the rules and instructions received in regards to the housing, transportation, classes, tours. Student is fully responsible for any breach of the written or verbal rules and instructions given by any employees or associates of The Los Angeles Film Academy International. 

  • Be aware that The Los Angeles Film Academy International's team members have full authority to terminate student from the course and return him/her to their country shall his/her behavior interferes with learning process or living conditions of the other students or any employees or associates of The Los Angeles Film Academy International.
